Can I visit the Display Garden?
Our display garden is only open to visitors during the iris bloom season. We will publish dates and times here once it is clear when the peak of bloom is likely to be but in general this is around mid-May.
There are two ways you can visit:
We will be open to the general public during the published hours set out below, without charge, or the need to pre-book the visit.
Alternatively, groups can, by prior arrangement, pre-book visits during the bloom season outside the published public opening hours and for this there is a charge of 5 euros per person (minimum charge 100 Euros).
Public Opening Hours for the Garden in 2025
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 May 2025 from 10.30-12.00 and 14.00-17.00 Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May 2025 from 10.30-12.00 and 14.00-17.00 Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 May 2025 from 10.30-12.00 and 14.00-17.00
This year, as we are replanting the raised beds in the display garden, the main iris display will be in the iris fields. Come to the display garden and we will direct you. You will be able to view thousands of irises in bloom and place orders for delivery or collection of bare root irises in August/September. A limited number of varieties will be on sale in pots. Please note that we are few in number and our work doesn’t stop when the irises are blooming, so whilst we welcome visitors, all visits will be strictly during the published opening hours and the gardens will shut to visitors when the iris season closes.
